SmartPacker is operated by Seven Sunsets Travel LLC ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through smartpacker.app and the SmartPacker packing assistant Service.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials.
- Trip inputs: destination, dates, trip type, packing preferences.
- Support messages: any communications you send us.
- Usage and telemetry: pages viewed, features used, errors.
- Device identifiers and IP address: collected automatically.
- Payment-related data: collected and processed by Paddle (see below).
3. How we use your data
- Create your account and provide the Service (contract performance).
- Generate personalized packing lists (contract performance).
- Send the packing guides and transactional emails you request (contract performance).
- Provide customer support (legitimate interests).
- Secure the Service and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
- Improve our product and analytics (legitimate interests).
- Send marketing only where you have consented (consent — you can withdraw any time).
- Comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, AI model providers, email delivery, and analytics tooling, acting on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar advisers where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, or resolve disputes. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us at support@sevensunsets.travel. We aim to respond within one month.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside your country, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect personal data. No system is fully secure, but we work to minimize risk.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to run the Service (e.g., to keep you signed in). We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
